2. Practice & Qualifying:

Each contestant may make 2 practice run before qualifying starts.
Practice & Qualifying order will be in the order you registered.
Each contestant may make 2 qualifying runs, 1 run in each lane.
The quickest qualifying time will be the Qualifying Time.
If you hit a cone, or crosses over the center, that will be considered a foul.
If you Red Light during Qualifying, it does not effect your time or cause a foul.

3. Classes will be determined by Qualifying Time.

Outlaw Classes is any quad running faster than 5.000 sec. These classes will be divided into 3/10 sec. classes.
Outlaw classes have a max break out time of 1/10 sec. faster than the class title with a max of 3/10sec for the
            slowest in the class.
Other Classes will be divided into 1/2 second brackets to a maximum of 16 contestants.
All other classes have a max break out time of 2/10 sec. faster than the class title with a max of 5/10sec for the
            slowest in the class.

Class 4.1:    4.1-4.399sec. max breakout time is 4.000sec.
Class 4.4:    4.4-4.699sec. max breakout time is 4.300sec.

Classes may contain any ATV that is 2wd, 4wd, 2 stroke, 4 stroke.
ATV stands for All Terrain Vehicle. Quads, Snowmobiles, dirt bikes, go carts, etc. Not Trucks.

4. Racing

Racing will be run in double elimination. After the first run, you will return to the staging area and switch lanes. You will make your second run after the rest in the class has made their run. If a tie happens after the second run, you will return to the starting line again and the fastest qualifier will call lane choice on a coin toss. Once established, pairings are not changed unless NEATVD determines there is adequate justification for a change. The break out rule:  If you run faster than your break out time you are disqualified from competition. One break out and you are out. If you Red light during eliminations, you lost on that pass. If you cross over the center line during Qualifying or Eliminations, that will be considered a foul also.

There is a 11:00 pm noise ordinance in Duplin County. If time is running short we will be forced to go to single eliminations.

If there are more than 40 entries, each class will run Double Elimination their first round, then we will start round 2 for each class.

If it is 10pm or later, on the starting of any round, we will be forced to go to Single Eliminations.

Run what you brung, wide open! No Sandbagging allowed!!! Please! We are racing for fun, not a living.

5. Racing order

Racing Order will be the NHRA Sportsman ladder:
1vs.9, 2vs.10, 3vs.11, 4vs.12, 5vs.13, 6vs.14, 7vs.15, and 8vs.16.
If there is an uneven number of ATVs say 11. Then the number 1 ATV gets the first bye run and the second bye run goes to the number 2 ATV or the person that beat him and earned that position on the ladder. If you assigned a bye run, you must make at least 1 bye run.
EXAMPLE:
Sportsman Rd 1        Sportsman  Rd2       Sportsman    Rd 3

1 races bye                    1 races 4                      1 races 3
2 races 7                        2 races 5                      2 races bye
3 races 8                        3 races 6
4 races 9

7. Entry fee and winnings

Entry Fee will be $10.00 per rider, per ATV, per class.

8. Points System

5 points will be given for each qualifying run.

5 points will be awarded for each round you win.
Points will not be carried from one class to another. If you run in class 5.0 one month then 4.7 the next, you will

have 2 sets of points. You need to try and stay in the same class each month. Points will be awarded to the racers

number and name. Everyone needs to have their own number posted on their bike. You can race in 2 different

classes and you will need another number for that. 2 racers can run the same bike as long as they have different

numbers. Numbers can be transferred to another bike but not another racer.
