ATV Mud Sling Rules

1. Rider is responsible for hooking cable to his/her ATV. Rider accepts responsibility for all damages    caused while being pulled from the pit. ATV must have suitable hook point for grab hook or loop on cable. Hook point must be near axle level.
2. All participants must pull the cable in the Hill & Hole Pit.
3. Under 16 riders may run in all classes. Youth 8-11 up to 70cc, youth 12-15 up to 90cc. Unless they are Grandfathered in under the
SENATE BILL 189 .  (A child who is age 8 on or before August 15, 2005 may operate larger machines than those prescribed above, as long as there is evidence that the machine was purchased by a parent or guardian prior to August 15, 2005.) All riders under 18 must have parent’s signature on waiver/registration form.
4. Distance is measured from the front of the ATV tires. Once forward progress stops, rider has 5 seconds to resume moving or run is over. Rider may make one attempt to back up in the pit. That attempt should only be made if rider is crossways in the pit. If rider does not stop when directed by official, rider will risk being disqualified for that run.
5. If any part of the tire goes out of the pit side, you will be disqualified for that run.
6. There is no one foot one hand rule in effect.
7. A rider may ride 2 different ATV's in the same class. If rider pulls a race number back to back, they will be separated by 1 ATV toward the end.
8.
All riders must have their ATV in the staging area before their class starts or risk disqualification.
9. Races will be double elimination. If you run first in your class, you will run last on the second round. Riders have the right turn down their second run. Their best run will be counted.
10. All participants for the Race class are required to wear helmets. If a competitor signs up for this class and do not have a helmet or cannot borrow one they will be disqualified from this class.
11. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Any participant displaying unacceptable behavior or arguing with the official will be disqualified from the competition and may be removed from the event. Let’s make a good example for our children to follow.
12. In case of tie, the other run will be the tie breaker or another run will be made at the official’s decision.
13. Participants competing in the mud sling are not allowed to drink alcoholic beverages prior to the competition. Participants must be of sound mind and body when entering the competition as well as signing the release form. Unwillingness to cooperate in this situation will lead to a disqualification.
14. Official of the competition has the right to cancel a mud sling class if only a few participants register to compete. The number of participants needed to continue with a class competition is at the discrepancy of the officials; they will decide whether to continue with a class competition after registration ends and before the competitions begin. If a class is canceled, participants will be refunded their registration fee.
15. All late registrations will be put at the end of the class.
16. The official reserves the right to change the rules. These rule changes will be due safety concerns or any unfairness that has been brought to our attention.
17. There will be no refunds for disqualifications, NONE WHATSOEVER!!

    3vs8
    4vs9
    5vs10
* These rules are mostly like ECMR rules. These are only in effect when there is not a ECMR Points race @ North East.
